Meredith Berger began peace.love.food (PLF) because she saw the need to treat the whole human - mind, body, and spirit.

It all began when her early experiences in private practice felt wrong. She understood that diets that forced clients into eating specific types and amounts of foods reinforced feelings of failure and shame - not what she wanted for her clients.

In a few short years, she discovered Intuitive Eating (IE), and things finally clicked into place. IE resonated because it’s how we as humans are programmed to eat. With IE, we access our internal cues: powerful, inherent signals that are all we need to follow to be as well as possible (which looks different for everyone).

Time and time again Meredith’s clients share that IE allows them more peace with food & their bodies, more freedom, and improved health measures including blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol.

Our practice is built upon the foundation that true change can only arise when we treat the individual - considering their history, experiences, and all that has led them to where they are today.

Meredith Berger

Meredith Berger

MEREDITH BERGER

Meredith Berger, MS, RD, LDN (she/her) is a registered dietitian and professional chef who is passionate about helping people develop a peaceful, mindful relationship with food and their body.  Combining her undergraduate degrees in Psychology from Tulane University and Culinary Arts at The Culinary Institute of America and Masters Degree in Nutrition from Boston University, Meredith is equipped to guide you along with your own inner wisdom (yes, you have it!) on a path to peace.

With an approach grounded in weight-neutral, non-diet nutrition, Health at Every Size® (HAES) and Intuitive Eating, she helps her clients realize that we are all born as competent eaters. Emotions, family patterns, trauma, and social stigma often steer us away from the wisdom that is innate in all of us - but it’s possible to regain it.

Meredith is a proud professional member of the Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association (MEDA), the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), Binge Eating Disorder Association (BEDA), Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and Massachusetts Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (MAND).

Christine is a professional member of the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD), Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association (MEDA), and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). Haley Sutherland

HALEY SUTHERLAND

After graduating from Framingham State University, Haley Sutherland MS, RD, LDN (she/her) was determined to avoid falling into the trap of weight bias care as a clinical dietitian. She discovered her calling by working with eating disorders and disordered eating at the Cambridge Eating Disorder Center. Through this experience, she has cultivated a compassionate and inclusive approach to nutrition counseling. Haley is thrilled to bring her expertise to the PLF team!

Her philosophy centers around healing one's relationship with food through the creation of positive food experiences, aiming to discover the joy in eating. Haley is always open to discussing her love of French fries and offering excellent restaurant recommendations.

Passionate about helping others and establishing a safe space for discussions on food beliefs, Haley's goal is to present an alternative perspective on foods often vilified in society, guiding individuals towards food freedom. She embraces a weight-neutral and Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned approach, focusing on treating the whole person.

Outside the realm of food discussions, Haley easily gets distracted by books and cats.
